A few details about the parade:

« Vienne area and the colours of the world » :

The Gauls, the Romans, jazz music and winemakers are going to be evoked and then we will gradually mix colours, people, social categories around the rugby ball to end up with "the future". There will also be a few floats, among which one carrying a giant rugby ball adorned with flags, there will be some dance, music, theatre, poneys, even animals around the ball, with a giant caterpillar that can be seen from a distance and of course all the teams from the different countries with their flags as well as the local rugby schools

Then the parade will get to the Roman theatre. After a few speeches for the opening of the tournament, the teams will be introduced. To end the ceremony, you will enjoy a show by the participants of the parade (flag parade, African and Brazilian dances, French Cancan, a "human" rugby ball...)

Children and adults from the local rugby clubs, theatre and dance companies, music schools gathered 2 or 3 times to rehearse and prepare the Sunday night show at the stadium. It is the perfect illustration of the name of the tournament "A l'ouverture", different worlds meeting to offer a great show to these young players from all over the world.

The show (as well as the matches) is free and open to the public. You can meet and join us during the parade and at the Roman theatre until 8:45pm.

Closing ceremony:
On Sunday night: show and fireworks at 8:30pm at the stadium with the same kind of show as the opening ceremony (many young rugby players, dance and theatre companies, capoera dance, dance of the mascots, cheerleaders, drums...).
